Bad News

This is a hard one to write. Cindy's husband, George, passed away suddenly last night. Road and weather conditions kept me from going to Lincoln to be with Cindy and her girls. I did not want to be in an accident and add to the very sad situation. Going to work was not easy, but easier than staying home and going stir crazy wanting to help, but not being able to. The roads should be in better condition tomorrow, and I will try to get to them.

Please everyone pray for this family at this tragic time.

Sue

Sue - have been thinking of all of your family all day. Does George have family coming?

Just a reminder; the five most repeated words in the Bible are "And it came to pass..." it didn't come to stay. And that includes grief. "For Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest, who have no hope." 1 Thess. 4:13

To answer your question, Shirley. At least George's mom and sister Sherrie will be here. He has a large extended family, many of whom I don't have contact with. Some cousins may be here, but I don't know for certain.

If this link below works, it should take you to the link to the online obituary.

(I finally remembered my blogger ID)

I'm sorry about the loss of your son-in-law. I read from Janell's blog and know it is very hard for the whole family.
Probably I would not have left a comment, but just merely read, except for the funeral home name.
The father of the groom at the wedding we attended Saturday in Conroe Texas is named Metcalf and he owns a funeral home.
Could they be related? I will ask him. My cousin has three funeral homes in/near Beatrice.
Again, I know this is terrilble hard on all of you, especially Cindy. I will be praying for all that God will give you comfort and help with understanding this unfortunate end of life.
