carvings

These are carvings in a place we ate. It was called the Log Cabin. It was in Bearaboo, WI. I should have flipped the first one. It was the door to the men's room. The people with the moose are real not carvings. :)

Christmas store

Somewhere on our trip we went by this place hailed as the biggest Christmas store in the US. I believe it. We didn't stop there so just took pictures of 2 of the bigger buildings.

Some of the trees we saw from our trip. Mostly Wisconsin. Some from the backseat, some out the side window and some when we stopped.

critter

This little guy had been fed by the attendants at the rest stop. He posed real nice for a picture.

Sunrise

This is the way our 9-day vacation started and it only got better. We could not have ordered more perfect weather. The only drawback was we brought sweatshirts when t-shirts would have been enough.

Pictures taken east of Wakefield.

More golf watchers

Caught these guys as they came to a pond for water.

golf gallery

Pictures of golf watchers around Fairplay. The geese are gone. There may not be as many next year. One of the ganders apparently got hit with a golf ball left the mama to raise the kids by herself.

There are also bluebird houses around the course. The birds do help keep the misquitos down. They really had their work cut out for them this year.

Bob is right

Somewhere on our trip we drove through an area that had what looked like thousands of the "windmills".

Coincidentally, on our way home from golf today there was a truck with one of the blades going through town. I couldn't get a pic of it, but they are huge.

Do you know what these are?

The Fence

This is a fence running through The Field Club, a country club in Omaha. Golfers have to hit accross this fence 4 times in an 18-hole round of golf. To make it more interesting - the fence protects a very busy street, Woolworth Ave. Not sure how often a car or a pedestrian gets nailed.

A NWAGA tournament was held there Mon - Wed last week. My partner & I placed 9th out of about 50 teams.

driving across Texas

There is an area of hundreds, if not thousands, of these windmills.

Why is this Hiway in Texas two-toned.

big bird

This bird overlooks Las Cruces, NM. Look close at what it is made of.
